Infusion Nurse

Chelsea, New York

We are looking for an Infusion Nurse, distinguished by their compassion, curiosity, and desire to learn and grow. This role will include clinical administration and oversight of ketamine infusions, as well as patient relationship development and clinic team support. This person will have the chance to help evolve a care model for a cutting edge, high impact mental healthcare solution.

This is a full time role (Monday - Friday) serving patients across our practice, based out of our Chelsea office, with frequent cross coverage at our four other clinics in New York City. As our practice grows, there will also be an opportunity to serve in your full time role at one clinic, with occasional cross coverage across the practice.

Credentials

Acceptable candidates must have a current New York State License in one of the following professions: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Professional Nurse (RN), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or Nurse Practitioner (NP).

  • Monitor patients during the infusion process, with appropriate intervention and escalation given adverse events.

  • Engage in therapeutic communications to ensure psychological safety for patients throughout their session.

  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and efficacy data.

  • Manage a highly-organized, safe, and clean work area.

  • Develop trusting, long-term relationships with patients.

Clinic Team Support

Attributes

  • You are warm, compassionate, and empathetic. You are motivated to help others, and have a way of building trusting, caring relationships with ease.

  • You are flexible, dynamic, and resilient. You are excited to integrate within multiple teams of a growing  organization, and prepared to go where your patients and Ember team needs you most as patient needs take shape.

  • You are mission driven. You are motivated to help people realize their full potential, and are a fantastic ambassador for a cause you believe in.

  • You are a skilled communicator. You’re both a great listener and an effective communicator. You are able to hold the space for people as they share highly personal and profound experiences.

Experience

  • Highly adept at placing IVs, trained and experienced in cardio-respiratory monitoring, and comfortable monitoring patients during procedural sedation.
